Habitat Pittsburgh is breaking ground on a new development in Homewood, and we want YOU to be there!

As fall approaches, there’s plenty taking shape at Habitat Pittsburgh as we continue creating and preserving affordable housing throughout Allegheny County. This month, we’re sharing the latest progress from our Wilkinsburg home rehab and nearly completed Larimer townhomes, while introducing an exciting new development in Homewood. We’ll also highlight the contributions of our August Team Build volunteers, share how our new Aging in Place initiative will help older homeowners

For Immediate Release – August 17, 2026 PITTSBURGH, PA – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh announces today the launch of the Habitat Pittsburgh Aging in Place Critical Repair Program. This program will cover the costs of eligible interior and exterior home repairs and modifications for homeowners over the age of 62. The program aims to increase the safety, accessibility, condition, and livability of the home and is funded in part by a $300,000 grant from Pennsylvania
