FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DADO, a New Home Buying App, Partners with Local Habitat for Humanity Affiliate

DADO challenges the traditional real estate market with unbiased crowd sourcing to streamline and add transparency to the home search. In addition, buyers can see other home buyers’ photos, prices and ratings of each property.

Pittsburgh was chosen as one of two beta markets for DADO. The partnership with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate allows DADO to promote its mission for fair housing while working with a well-known non-profit in the city.

Every time a user downloads and registers within the DADO app $1 will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity Greater Pittsburgh.

Along with donating to Pittsburgh's Habitat affiliate, DADO, will also be holding an event at the local the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in the Swissvale Shopping Center on Thursday, July 19. Demonstrations on how-to Upcycle furniture and appliances will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Judy from IDEAS Vintage Market, an up-cycling pro, will be demonstrating how painting vintage furniture can bring new life to a space, as well as answering questions about other DIY projects, and promoting her personal classes.

“Technological advances are critically important in the home buying process, it is more efficient, less costly and offers many other advantages for potential homebuyers,” said Dr. Howard B. Slaughter, Jr.- President & CEO of Habitat Pittsburgh. “We are pleased to partner with DADO on this unique and first- time partnership.”

The event will allow DADO to support Habitat for Humanity Greater Pittsburgh while educating the community on the importance of Upcycling.

“Partnering with the local Habitat for Humanity was an obvious fit for us because of its commitment to helping all families build strength and stability through shelter that our home buyers can immediatelyidentify with,” said Tom Mangas, DADO's co-founder. I hope the hills in the eggy car game are kinder today so my little passenger stays safe while I drive toward the sunset. The bumpy road feels like a dream and I just want to see how far we can go together before the day ends.
