Youth Triathlon Cancelled for Safety

Updated: Jul 17

Out of an abundance of caution, the Habitat Pittsburgh Youth Triathlon scheduled for tomorrow, July 18th, has been cancelled. The health and safety of our participants, families, volunteers, and community remain our highest priority.

Tomorrow’s air quality forecast for Allegheny County indicates levels that will be unhealthy for sensitive groups, including children, older adults, and individuals with heart or lung conditions. Given these conditions, proceeding with the event would not be responsible.

This marks the first cancellation in the event’s 24-year history outside of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are disappointed that we will not be swimming, biking, and running together this year, we look forward to welcoming you back for the next Habitat Pittsburgh Youth Triathlon on July 17, 2027. Registration will open later this year.

Thank you for your understanding, your continued participation, and your longstanding support.
